Doctors for America Condemns Senate Passage of “One Big Beautiful Bill”
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Doctors for America strongly condemns the legislative package, deceivingly titled the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which the U.S. Senate passed this afternoon. This bill is a setback to public health and will be harmful to patients nationwide. If this legislation is signed into law, millions of Americans will lose health care coverage, and millions more could lose access to preventative and reproductive health services. The significant cuts to Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, and Planned Parenthood are reprehensible and will ultimately lead to unnecessary illness and deaths.
DFA strongly condemns the bill passed by the Senate. We urge the House of Representatives to put patients over politics, protect Medicaid, and reject this bill.
