One in five Americans are covered by Medicaid. Under the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid expansion expanded the Medicaid program to cover almost all adults with income levels up to 138% of the Federal Poverty Level. As of November 2022, 40 states have adopted Medicaid expansion and 11 states have not expanded Medicaid, including Wyoming.
