Community Health & Prevention Action Event
February 28 @ 8:00 pm–9:15 pm EST
After learning about a specific advocacy skill for the first 15 minutes – How to Engage with your Local Media – and having the opportunity to hear your colleagues’ tips about doing this, attendees will have the opportunity to jump into a breakout room of their choice.
February 28 breakout rooms so far include:
- Substance Use Disorder: Decriminalization with a focus on substance use disorder as a disease that needs support and medical care instead of criminalization and punishment.
- Safe Firearm Storage: Designing a campaign to bring clinical training & advocacy resources for gun safety interventions to institutions across the country
- Combatting Medical Racism: Identifying what success would look like after a year of focusing on what we can do to collectively change the patient’s experience.
Future meetings will take place on the 3rd Monday of each month.
