Preparing Patients for the ending of the Medicaid Continuous Enrollment Provision

Session Description: 

At the start of the pandemic, Congress enacted the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), which included a requirement that Medicaid programs keep people continuously enrolled until the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, in exchange for enhanced federal funding.  Due in large part to this important piece of legislation, Medicaid enrollment has grown significantly and the uninsured rate has dropped. The Kaiser Family Foundation estimates that 5 million to 14 million individuals will lose Medicaid coverage once the continuous enrollment provision ends as of April 1, 2023.
