After learning about a specific advocacy skill for the first 15 minutes – Tips for Successful Social Media Advocacy – and having the opportunity to hear your colleagues’ tips about doing this, attendees will have the opportunity to jump into a breakout room of their choice.
Come and join this important work!
Beginning at 8 PM Eastern time / 5 PM Pacific Time, DFA’s Community Health & Prevention leaders will lead breakout rooms on:
- Gun Violence Prevention: develop positions on safety improvements through policy, rules, regulations for government and non-government entities
- Combatting Medical Racism
- COVID Recovery: work on opinion/editorial on what’s happening in your own state
- Substance Use Disorder: Draft and Publish formal organizational statement that advocates decriminalization of substance use and specifically substance use disorders
This is how you can best get directly involved with DFA’s advocacy work. The majority of the event will take place in breakout rooms.
Action meetings take place on the 3rd Monday of each month.
